This is an A Capella arrangement. The sopranos and altos sing the first verse. The key changes and the men begin verse two in unison before suddenly splitting into three part harmony. The key changes back to the original and the third verse is scored for SATB.
A Capella singing can be challenging if the choir is not used to it. The parts themselves are not difficult and our choir was able to handle the key changes all right with a little practice. The highlight of the piece is definitely the three part men's portion. It made the women in our choir swoon every time they listened to it. |
