The Introduction song has original lyrics and introduces the entire set of songs. The lyrics for all the rest (Beatitudes 1-9) are all taken verbatim from Matthew 5:3-12. The final song contains two distinct melodies which are sung separately as verses 1 and 2, and then together in harmony as verse 3.
